Contact Us

This is where you see dates and come to community events to see us with our boats on display.  You can talk to us and find out about what we do.  Come out and see us, learn about what we do and you may get the bug.

Our club has been invited to these events by other organizations, so in turn we will also promote them.  If you think it would be cool to have our club come to one of your events, email thecrew from the contact us link.

The boat's names will be posted at each event they will attend.

Saturday, April 26, 2008 -- 9:00 am  SOMERS POINT, KENNEDY PARK.
Every year, Somers Point hosts an event titled "Bayfest".  It's a HUGE party!  We are looking to get down there with some boats, throw em in the water and have a fun run.  The purpose is to make some noise and promote our August 10th race.  Email thecrew if you are interested!

The boats there were: "Dirty Bird", "Mello Yello", "Empty Pockets", "Extreme", "Bagel Shack" and "All Fired Up II"
Although the weather wasn't the greatest, we still had a good member turnout.  Thanks to Denny, Kevin, Herschel, Tony and Family, Joey and Pete, Julie, and Rob for his garvey.  NJSP Marine Unit came out and gave the test permits-we appreciate their time.  We had some good garvey runs and definetly made noise.  Welcome to our club for New York Digger, who joined after meeting us.  And a few more people in the world learned what a garvey is.
Another really cool thing that came out of Somers Point is having the opportunity to talk to Gary Fischer from South Jersey's Number One Hit Music Station - 95.1 WAYV.  We are expecting a huge turnout for the August 10th race and hope WAYV will come out to our site at Kennedy Park.

Sunday, May 18, 2008 -- Tuckerton Seaport.  11:00am - 5:00pm
Kick off summer with the 2nd annual Barbecue and Bluegrass Jamboree at the Seaport!  We need two to three display boats for this event.  Email thecrew if you can be there.

We were there from about 9:30a-3:30p.  The weather started getting rough so we left early.  Thanks to Herschel Abbott for bringing his Garvey "Empty Pockets", and thanks to Denny Dyer for letting me bring his Ski Boat, "Dirty Bird".  We had a great spot right next to "Skeeters" Cafe and talked to a lot of people!  After the positive remarks from everyone, our races will have more fans coming out.  The other amazing item at the Seaport is one of the oldest Race/Work Garveys around.  She's seen better days, but a really cool sight anyway.  It's where we began!  The "Wasp", G-21 was built around 1959, and raced throughout the better part of the 1960's.  Come out to the Seaport for the next event we are there!

Monday May 26, 2008 -- Memorial Day Parade in Barnegat.  It was a perfect day for a parade thanks to Jack, Laura and the American Legion for a great set up!  A 1:00pm kickoff and a lot of waving.

And now - thanks to the member families and boats that participated in the parade.  Our new member, Steve Dellera and family, with the Delta Ski Boat, Herschel and "Empty Pockets", Bill Kneuer and Hypertension Skiff family, Rob Lauer and family with "All Fired Up II", and Denny for helping put enough of my boat, "Runnin-n-Gunnin" together to be there along with my kids.
