MAKE A STORY. YOU CAN ALWAYS EMAIL INFO AND PICS TO thecrew IN THE CONTACT SECTION AND I'LL ADD IT. NO NEED TO
BRING EVERYTHING AT ONCE EITHER, DON'T RUSH IT-LET'S DO IT RIGHT. THANKS STEVE

MARCH 2008 NEWSLETTER
By Laura Giberson
The regular monthly meeting was held on February 12th, 2008. According to our mailing list
we have 89 people as current members, yet only 30 people attended this meeting. And we wonder why we can't get anything
done.
The next meeting is scheduled for March 11th, 2008. You will not be allowed into the meeting
unless you have paid your dues for the 2008 season. If this causes a problem for you please contact President Mike Merola
or any club officer for assistance.
The club is encouraging all members to get out and sell ads for the 2008 yearbook. We appear
to be off to a good start, but it's still early. Don't forget to sell the $10 Booster ads. The deadline for submitting
ads is April 8th, 2008 at our regular meeting. FIRM
Donna Heath has managed to get Surf Taco of Jackson to sponsor a race. She is asking all
boat teams to donate pictures of their boats to be displayed at this restaurant. Please see Donna for details.
The club is in the process of applying for a state gaming license, which will allow the club
to run larger fund raisers. The cost of this license is $200, and is valid for two years. Willie Kneuer brought
up an idea for a new fund raiser. I'm very familiar with this one, and we stand to make $2,500 profit before the first
race of the season. Let's hear more about it at the next meeting and get started.
President Mike Merola has been in touch with the organizer of the Seaside Heights St. Patrick's
Day Parade. The club is allowed two spaces in the parade, this equals four boats. Please join us. The date
is Saturday, March 15th, 2008. See President Mike Merola for details.
This may be the last mailing of the Newsletter due to the cost of printing and mailing.
It will be posted on the website for those of you that have internet service. All others? If given an updated
list of current members who have internet service, we may be able to cut the mailing in half. I know that this issue
is one that needs to be brought up at a meeting and voted on. Hope to see you at the next meeting, please bring your
opinions with you.
As usual we always need Volunteers, Please sign-up, get involved and help out with our club.
Your assistance can be used with: Transporting Saftey Boats and Equipment Trailer, Refreshments, Souvenir table, set-up
and pack-up of the assorted equipment.
Make Sure You Attend the Meetings,
the Next Meeting is April 8th. 2008 @ 8pm.
